Hillcroft is a unique national womens residential College which is celebrating 95 years of providing a centre for women to stay, study and change their lives. Hillcroft is based in Surbiton which is 20 minutes by train from Waterloo.

We are looking for an experienced Tutor who can provide support on specific courses according to individual learner contract including dyslexia and dyspraxia, ASD and mental health to adult students with the ability to adapt their working practices to meet individual student needs.

This role with require occasional teaching on weekend courses with the opportunity to deliver a small number of sessions in the week although hours are variable.

The successful candidate will hold at least Level 3 (English and Maths GCSE at A*) and preferably Level 3 learning support qualification.

Experience of teaching adults from all backgrounds and with different needs is a must along with good verbal and written communication and the ability to work as part of a team and using your own initiative.

About Richmond and Hillcroft Adult and Community College

Located in Surbiton, London, Hillcroft college is a further education college for women first established in 1920. Owned and run by the Hillcroft Charitable Trust, the college provides courses for learners aged 19 and over, and contains provision for students looking to live on-site for the duration of their studies. In addition to this, Hillcroft College also contains childcare facilities for women who require it, as well as flexible course hours in order to remain accessible to women in work.

Hillcroft College is primarily dedicated to providing an education tailored for the learning needs of women. Many of the courses at the college are short courses, intended to provide introductory knowledge of a subject area without a formal qualification. In addition to this, the college also offers more formal, multiple-term courses such as GCSE and level 3 diplomas. The college offers free tuition on many courses for women receiving additional financial support, as well as support for single parents.
