Job overview

We are seeking an Additional Needs Support Tutor to join our Dyslexia Support Team. Providing support to students with specific learning difficulties you will be innovative, organised and dependable and have excellent communication skills.

You will have the ability to screen and assess candidates for possible dyslexia/dyspraxia and advise on progression towards further assessment as well as deliver 1:1 teaching support for post 16 students in a college environment.

You will have the ability and qualifications to carry out assessments for access arrangements.

You will have a specialist dyslexia qualification and a current assessment practising certificate. You will also hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent and will hold, or be willing to work towards, a Level 5 teaching qualification.

The role will be primarily based at Woodlands and Blossomfield Campuses. We are ideally looking for someone to work two and a half (2.5) days, however, the working days are negotiable and this will be discussed at interview.
