St Helens Primary Academy is a very special learning environment and we are located in Monk Bretton and we are within commutable distance of Wakefield, Leeds and Sheffield and close to the M1 and A1 motorways.

We are looking to appoint an Office Admin Apprentice to join our team and contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the school office as well as providing reception cover as and when required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to learn about office processes, and quality customer service, all within a primary school environment.

We are seeking to appoint an Office Administration Apprentice to provide administration support. You will need to be a highly motivated team player, and have the ability to relate well to young people. You will need to be eager to learn, self motivated with an eye for detail and be a good organiser and able to support the office teams, in a busy school environment.

You will complete a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You may also be required to complete English and/or maths Functional Skills (this will be determined by existing qualifications).  Further information about the apprenticeship programme can be found here: https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards/business-administrator-v1-0

Your Trainer will meet with you in the workplace every 4 weeks. In between these meetings you will have dedicated time away from your job to work on the apprenticeship and collate evidence for your apprenticeship e-portfolio with ongoing support from your Manager and Trainer.

This is an exciting opportunity to be in a real job, with real variety, from day one whilst working towards a qualification. The successful candidate will have excellent people and communication skills and will be flexible to adapt to changing situations.

To be eligible for the Apprenticeship, applicants must have resided in the UK or EEA for 3 years prior to the start of the Apprenticeship. Please note: applicants must not have already completed a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship.

Please note: AET has their own in house apprenticeship scheme and do not work with any other training providers to deliver Apprenticeships.

We passionately believe that every child can discover their own remarkable life. It’s what motivates us around here. We know this vision requires something extra. Which is why at AET, you’ll find more. More opportunities, so you can forge your own path. More care and support, so you can prioritise what matters most. More purpose, for you and for the children we’re inspiring.

This will be a fixed term position and the duration of the apprenticeship will be determined by the job role and current skills. The typical duration of the apprenticeship is 21 months, however, can be longer or shorter depending on existing knowledge, skills and experience, up to a maximum length of 26 months.
