Help make an Everyday Breakthrough happen by joining our team.

Who we are looking for

We are a forward thinking Autism Specific Specialist Free School seeking an Administration Assistant to support our students within the school.

The NAS Academies Trust (NAS-AT) in partnership with Lambeth Local Authority is to establish a special free school (NAS Vanguard School) for autistic students. As with all NAS schools, the pedagogy will be informed by researched and established methods of best practice in teaching autistic young people.

NAS Academies Trust currently includes two other free school, Church Lawton School & Thames Valley School. It has been designated that Thames Valley School & Vanguard School will be partner schools, under the leadership of an Executive Principal and Executive Business & Finance Manager.  Both schools will work collaboratively to maximise the standards, curriculum offer, training and employment opportunities. This new role will enable you to influence & contribute to the future of the NAS Academies Trust schools.

Vanguard School opens January 2020. We are looking for a hardworking and committed team of specialist teachers and support staff and a commitment to ensuring the best possible outcomes for our students.

To be considered for this role you will need to be highly motivated, professional and enthusiastic and possess excellent communication and IT skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across a growing organisation. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and accuracy, together with the ability to use their initiative. Full training will be given in school systems, however previous school experience would be an advantage but not essential, together with a certain level of financial acumen. If you are committed to making a difference, and would like the opportunity to be part of our developing school and possess the required level of skills, we would love to hear from you!

Being an Administration Assistant requires enthusiasm, patience and commitment. But working with autistic people gives so much more in return.

We need you to be resilient, supportive and sensitive towards the needs of autistic people.

Along with a host of benefits – from shopping discounts to flexible working and a competitive pension scheme - we’ll make sure you get excellent autism-specific training to help further your career.
