Job description:

Are you an organised, personable and dependable administrator who enjoys being the first friendly face people meet?

Teenage Kicks, a specialist independent school for pupils with EHCPs and diverse learning needs, is looking for an Admin Assistant to join our school office team at our Partington Street site in Manchester.

This is a varied role at the heart of a busy, supportive school. You'll be the first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies, keep our administrative systems running smoothly, and — because we're a small, close-knit team — you may also be asked to support in classrooms from time to time, helping our pupils feel settled and included.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the school office

  • Act as first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies — phone, email and in person

  • Maintain accurate student records and school databases

  • Support attendance tracking and reporting

  • Assist with general correspondence, filing and office organisation

  • Provide occasional support in classrooms, helping pupils with SEMH needs and EHCP outcomes

  • Contribute to our inclusive, trauma-informed school culture

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous administrative experience (school or education setting preferred, but not essential)

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Confident, friendly communicator who works well under pressure

  • A calm, patient approach — comfortable supporting pupils with diverse learning needs when needed

  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office); experience with Arbor and CPOMS desirable

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and collaborative team environment

  • Small class sizes and a relationship-based approach to learning

  • A meaningful opportunity to make a difference every single day

  • Access to CPD and professional development

  • Term-time working only (plus 5 INSET days)

Teenage Kicks is a registered independent school committed to the safeguarding of children and young people. All offers of employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
