Sponne is an outstanding community comprehensive school with some 1414 students aged 11-18 on roll, and with specialisms of Science and Music. Outcomes are very high with 78% of students gaining grades 9-4 including English and Mathematics at GCSE.

We require a friendly and efficient admin assistant / receptionist for our busy admin reception area. Main duties will include manning the switch board, meeting and greeting visitors, sorting incoming and outgoing post and general office duties.

In addition to covering reception the post holder will provide admin support for whole school training and the business support functions based in admin reception including finance, HR and premises. 

The successful candidate will:

• be able to demonstrate a good standard of IT skills including Word & Excel  

• have the ability to use a range of bespoke software relating to the job role, i.e. for ID badges, barrier system, visitor monitoring and cashless catering. 

• have to meet the person specification and will be required to apply for a DBS disclosure.

• have a genuine desire to help others.

• have previous experience in a school or in customer services

• have or be willing to train for a first aid qualification
