Job overview
Ridgeway School, part of Aspris Children’s Services, is an independent, specialist day school for young people aged 10–16 with autism spectrum conditions (ASC) and associated complex needs. We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Administrative Assistant to join our friendly team.
About the Role
This term-time position involves providing professional administrative support across the school. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Acting as first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external agencies
Managing phone calls, emails, and reception duties
Supporting review processes in collaboration with teaching and support staff
Booking meetings, taking minutes, and preparing paperwork
Assisting with ordering supplies, maintaining records, and general office tasks
Supporting the team with diary management
Undertaking any such tasks as may be reasonably required by the leadership team
What We’re Looking For
Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc.)
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure
High level of literacy and numeracy
Ability to adopt to company systems
Previous administrative experience is helpful but not essential—full training provided
