About the Role

City of London Academies Trust (COLAT) is seeking to appoint an Admin Officer starting in May 2023. You will work as part of the front of house team on reception and duties include general administration, answering the telephone, photocopying, ordering supplies and maintaining information management systems. You will join our admin team and work pro-actively with the Finance and Operations Director,  the senior leadership team, teachers, heads of department and the wider support team across a range of activities.

Normal hours will be between 7.00am - 3.00pm (with a 1 hour lunch break). It is expected that you would be available to support certain meetings outside of these hours by agreement in advance for which time off in lieu will be accrued. There are also INSET training days and TWILIGHT evenings throughout the academic year which you are expected to attend.

About you

You will have experience as an Admin Officer or similar and ideally be familiar with working in a school or office. You should have experience of working in a busy office, can work well under pressure and have great organisation skills. It is essential that the candidate is able to multitask, work flexibly and can work as part of a team. The role requires you to complete admin tasks on a daily basis therefore you must have excellent IT skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office and/or G suite. Excellent communication skills both oral and written are an essential part of the role to be able to deal with staff, students, parents and external agencies. It would be advantageous if you are first aid trained.
