St Michael's Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, personable and highly organised Admin Officer to support our thriving school and help ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day operations.

Working Hours: Part Time (27 hours / week, Monday – Friday, 39 weeks per year including Teacher Training Days).

Salary: £11.98 per hour (£23,114 pro rata per annum). 

We are an open and inclusive primary school, educating children between the ages of 5 and 11 years. Located in the garrison town of Larkhill, Wiltshire, our school aims to spark interest, ignite a passion for learning and fire up ambition to inspire every child to recognise and exceed expectations. Our staff provide a challenging, yet nurturing, environment based on our Christian values and we are committed to learning outside the classroom, as much as inside. In May 2022, we joined Acorn Education Trust, which has provided exciting opportunities to improve local education and draw on collective experience.

As the initial point of contact for parents, visitors and other stakeholders, you will act as an ambassador for our school and be responsible for supporting with administrative, financial and organisational processes within our setting.


We are looking for someone who:  

  • Is well presented and articulate, with good communication skills;
  • Has strong interpersonal skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
  • Has superb attention to detail and organisational skills;
  • Is self-motivated dedicated and consistent;
  • Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
  • Is a strong team player, who can use their own initiative;
  • Has a positive and flexible attitude;
  • Has experience of working in a busy office environment (advantageous);
  • Has sound ICT skills, including fast and accurate keyboard skills.
