Come and join our forward-thinking, friendly Human Resources team on an exciting journey of growth as we seek to appoint a Administration Assistant, based at the Laurus Trust Headquarters in Cheadle Hulme.

As a team we keep the plates spinning; proudly delivering a professional HR and Recruitment service to 9 schools across the North West, increasing to 12 over the next few years.

We provide employee relations, learning & development, recruitment, health & wellbeing and people systems support to our amazing colleagues. The valuable work we do 'behind the scenes' enables them to concentrate more on what they do best - delivering an outstanding education to our young people.

This position is contracted on a Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to students and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 37 out of 52 weeks.

We are happy to consider part time and flexible working options for this position.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Sound educational background including GCSE’s Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent
  • Previous experience of working within a high volume administrative role in an office environment
  • Excellent time management skills with a pro-active and detail oriented approach to work
  • Strong IT Skills - using MS Word, Outlook and Excel

Central Services

The nucleus of the Trust is our multi-functional and dedicated Central Services Team who provides continuous operational support to all of our schools across the Trust. This includes HR, Recruitment, Finance, Payroll & Pensions Administration, Marketing & Communications, IT, Estates & Facilities Management and Compliance and Data. Each team works tirelessly to ensure all services run smoothly and efficiently, enabling our teaching staff to focus on delivering an outstanding education for our students.

Our Schools

Over the years the Trust has expanded to now include 6 Secondary Schools and 3 Primary Schools. We have two further schools in the pre-opening phase: Laurus Grace, a school catering for students with significant social, emotional and mental health needs, and Crown Street Primary, a new primary in the heart of Manchester City Centre. Our family of schools are:

· Gorsey Bank Primary School - joined the Trust in 2016

· Cheadle Hulme Primary School  - opened in September 2018

· Laurus Cheadle Hulme   - opened in September 2018

· Laurus Ryecroft  - opened in September 2018

· Didsbury High School  - opened in September 2019

· Hazel Grove High School- joined the Trust in September 2019

· Woodford Primary School - opened in September 2022

· Priestnall School - joined the Trust in September 2023

· Crown Street Primary School - opening in September 2024

· Laurus Grace - opening in 2025
