About the role

We are looking for an experienced Administration Assistant with good communication skills to join our dedicated team who provide administrative support across the school.  As our Administration Assistant, you will be required to work 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

Responsibilities include; the production of a range of documents and reports, filing, the daily processing of post, the monitoring of the schools email inbox, taking phone calls and covering reception. You will often be the first point of contact with the school for parents and the public and you will need excellent communication and customer care skills. 

About you

Good IT skills and the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information is essential. A flexible and pro-active approach, together with a commitment to the education of young people is essential - you will support other admin functions such as Attendance when required. Carrying out First Aid duties is an important part of this role and during the current situation a willingness to assist with the administration and carrying out of Covid 19 tests will be required – appropriate training will be given.

About Plumstead Manor School

Plumstead Manor is a thriving and popular secondary school located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. There has been a school on our site since 1913, with the first 105 years as a girls’ school. In response to local demand we admitted our first mixed cohort in 2018 and gradually move to being fully co-educational by 2022. 

We are a large, inclusive, comprehensive school and have capacity for 1,500 students aged 11-18. We have our own Sixth Form of around 300 students and welcome students from our own cohort as well as students from within the local area. Our students progress onto the full range of future pathways, including medicine and veterinary science courses at the most competitive universities and high-quality apprenticeships.
