Key responsibilities
To deliver high-quality administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school
The role is to be delivered over 25 hours per week with a working pattern to suit the individual and organisational need, term-time only.
Specific tasks
General school administration
Efficient preparation and maintenance of hard-copy/electronic student records
Minute taking at internal meetings
Administrative support to assist with the recruitment and enrolment of students including telephone calls to prospective students/ parents/carers and supporting colleagues in preparing/delivering events such as Open Days
Follow protocols for the distribution and collection of books and materials
Timely completion of tasks relating to school trips
Managing incoming and outgoing post
Maintain manual and computerised records/management information system. Proactively perform housekeeping duties on the school’s management information systems
Respond to admin requests from the wider school community, balancing competing priorities as appropriate
Supporting the Pastoral Team
Support the Pastoral Team in meeting their duties for monitoring attendance and behaviour by compiling reports and registers
Arranging meetings with families and external agencies
Supporting the Academic Team and Exams Office
Supporting the Data Manager with timely and accurate data entry and preparation of reports
Accurate data entry and collation of data for UCAS records
Ensure student timetables and class lists are maintained correctly
At defined periods within the year, assist the Data Manager with exams-related admin such as preparing seating plans and photocopying booklets
Reception
Provide cover for the Receptionist as required by answering incoming and internal switchboard calls, dealing with requests and enquiries and taking messages
Safeguard students by ensuring that any visitors sign in and out of the site, are issued with visitor badges and understand the need to accompanied as per the school’s protocols
Essential Professional Criteria
Qualifications
GCSE English and Maths at A*-C (9-4) or equivalent
Knowledge and experience
Demonstrable experience within an administrative role
Personal Attributes and Qualities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to prioritise workloads and deal with conflicting priorities
Accuracy and attention to detail
Be self-motivated and enthusiastic about working on one’s own but also enjoy working in a team
Tidy, organised and methodical
Able to exercise discretion when working with confidential information

The place for Academic rigour, LAE Tottenham is a 16-19 free school which opened in September 2017 in state of the art premises next to White Hart Lane stadium, offering academically rigorous A Level subjects.
