Queen Elizabeth’s Academy is seeking to appoint an efficient, well-organised and enthusiastic Administrator to join the Business Support Team. The main focus of the role will be supporting reception with welcoming visitors, taking deliveries and telephone duties, along with providing general day-to-day administrative assistance. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate resilience, empathy and an ability to build relationships quickly with the school community.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and time management skills, have high expectations and be able to use their own initiative. 

This will be a varied and interesting role, and previous experience in a school office will be an advantage, however not essential. This is a fixed term role to cover a maternity leave.

The successful candidate will ideally have:       

  • Excellent administrative and ICT skills       
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications 
  • Experience of using SIMS or a similar information management software package       
  • Be able to reach deadlines under pressure, and prioritise workload       
  • The ability to multi-task       
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing       
  • The ability to work as part of a busy team
