Job overview

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated admin officer to provide maternity cover on a temporary contract. The successful candidate will have a welcoming manner, excellent people skills and an efficient and organised approach to all tasks.  They will have excellent literacy numeracy and ICT skills and be an outstanding communicator. 

Previous administrative experience is essential.  As training will be provided, previous school experience is not an essential requirement. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a role which is varied and interesting.

Grade 3 £16,187 pro rata, 8am – 4pm, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, term time only equates to apx £8,722 per annum. The employment start date is 1st September 2017 and the contract end date is June 2018 or when the maternity leave person returns.

Main purpose of the job

• To provide a comprehensive administrative support to the school

• To assist with pupil first aid and welfare duties, including looking after sick pupils and liaising with parents and staff

• To undertake routine clerical and administrative support duties

• To work collaboratively with all staff and parents in order to support pupil well being

• To assist in general premises matters


Our first stage assessments will take place at 10am on 21st June, with interviews for candidates shortlisted to the second stage taking place on Monday 26th June.

Ladybarn Primary School is part of the Kingsway Community Trust a Multi Academy Trust, which is also made up of Green End Primary School and Cringle Brook Primary School. This provides the staff and children of both schools with enhanced development and networking opportunities. All schools in the Trust are Ofsted graded Outstanding

This position is subject to 2 professional references and DBS clearance.
