Roehampton Gate School is a specialist secondary school dedicated to supporting students with a range of additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and other complex educational needs.
Putney Vale is a dedicated post 16-19 provision in a brand-new, purpose-designed building in Putney Vale. This provision will offer a fantastic range of opportunities, including academic and vocational qualifications, as well as post-16 courses, all complemented by enriching experiences like volunteering, enterprise projects, and preparation for adulthood. Our Post-16 site in Putney Vale will focus on vocational training, life skills, and independence to prepare students for adulthood.
This role is term-time + 4 weeks (43 weeks per year). 2 of these weeks need to be worked in the Summer holidays over exam times.

Main duties:
- Front of house duties: answering phone calls, picking up internal/external voicemails and passing messages to the relevant people; monitoring PV inbox and either responding to emails or forwarding them to the relevant people; manning the school gates and reception doors as required, ensuring pupils are accompanied before leaving the school
- Visitors: greeting visitors, offering tea/coffee/water and making sure they sign the Visitor's book; checking and recording ID; issuing Visitor badges and making sure they are returned.
- Student attendance: calling parents/careers when students are absent and ensuring information is passed to Exec/SLT
- Morning/Afternoon Briefings: minuting the Morning and Afternoon Briefings; placing a hardcopy in the Briefing folder
- Supporting Exec/SLT in calling/emailing parents/careers throughout the school day as needed, this could include minute taking for meetings that happen throughout the day
- Team responsibilities: maintain a clean, tidy and organised general work environment including paperwork, workstations, blinds, plants etc. Attend training as required by PV and engage in cross-training of other administration tasks in order to cover in the event of staff absences or excessive workload
- To contribute to parents’ evenings by cover the desk later and preparing hot drinks. (Overtime offered)
- SEN & General Admin
- Maintain the pupil review tracker, sending out invites and keep track of all annual reviews over the academic year
- Minutes: Education Meeting, Teachers’ Meeting, Annual Review, Placement Review, Emergency Review, EHC Conversion Review and any meetings at the discretion of the Principal and Head Teacher. Minutes to be finalised, stored and distributed within the agreed timeframe
- Recording all actions from meetings into the action tracker, sending the actions to relevant staff
- Assist Administrator in providing efficient and effective administrative and secretarial support to the school; including document and report production, telephone enquiries, diary management, and greeting visitors and other administrative tasks as appropriate
- Any other duties reasonably requested by the team

About Roehampton Gate School
Roehampton Gate School is a purpose-built day school for young people with autistic spectrum disorders, in particular Asperger's Syndrome and associated learning difficulties. It is situated next to the Hospital Roehampton. The school opened in April 2010.
The spacious and modern building has been specifically designed to accommodate up to 40 young people with autistic spectrum disorders and Asperger's Syndrome.
The classrooms are set up for specialist subjects including information technology, art, food technology, science and music, together with exclusive sensory and therapy rooms/suites or studios.
Roehampton Gate School is also uniquely placed to benefit from the extensive therapy and specialist mental health services provided at the Hospital Roehampton. Staff and students will also work closely with the child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) and experienced educational psychologists
