The Role

At Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) we are seeking a motivated and highly organised Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for supporting our team with administrative tasks while being a key resource to the Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Applied Learning team members. Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • provide administrative services including filing, mail receipt and sorting, maintenance of registers, routine purchasing, meeting and event support, photocopying, and creating and compiling documents to support the effective operation of the team/unit
  • collect and compile information to support the development of documentation and reports
  • respond to enquiries and routine requests for information, escalating enquiries as necessary, to ensure the provision of accurate information
  • update records and databases, complying with records management processes, to ensure information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible
  • any other duties as directed from time to time.

The Person

To be successful in this position, our ideal candidate will possess:

  • a TAFE NSW/College Certificate III/IV or equivalent qualification in administration or relevant degree
  • demonstrated skills in accurate and timely data entry
  • strong problem-solving ability
  • high-level computer literacy through proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
  • exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • highly developed interpersonal skills
  • excellent telephone manner and high-order skills in handling difficult conversations
  • excellence in customer and client service
  • demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
