Part time 37 Hours per week Term Time only plus 5 inset days.

Working Pattern: Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 4.30pm Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm (1 hour lunch)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly and confident person to join our office team. The purpose of the job is to support the smooth running of the front office dealing with parents, children and welcoming visitors to the school. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of tasks as set out in the job description and will possess excellent communication and IT skills. Previous school office experience is desirable along with knowledge of school based systems such as SIMS/ Arbor however full training with be given.

Responsibilities-

  • Provide administrative, and organisational services to the school
  • Supporting the office manager with Admin, HR tasks.
  • Organise and liaise with HCC, Parents and Staff for Admissions to the school
  • Liaise with pupils, parents and careers via written communication, face to face and electronic communications i.e. texting
  • Liaise with other staff and external agencies
  • Analyse and evaluate data and information and run reports
  • Undertake word-processing and IT based tasks including operation of relevant equipment and advanced ICT packages
  • Organise meetings and take notes
  • Process forms, returns, etc., including those to outside agencies
  • Contribute to the planning and development of administrative procedures and systems.
  • Allocate work to administrative staff at lower levels on a regular basis.
  • Demonstration of tasks to more junior colleagues on a regular basis
  • Assist with producing marketing and promotion material for the school including social media and school website
  • Undertake cash handling i.e. dinner money and school trips

Desirable

  • Intermediate knowledge of ICT systems (word, power point, Excel. SIMS)
  • Awareness of keeping children safe
  • Knowledge of Data protection and confidentiality
  • Understanding of the Schools ethos and values
