Benenden School are looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the Headmistress and to the Executive Assistant.

This role requires someone with a high level of attention to detail, excellent IT skills using Microsoft Office and confident verbal and written communication skills.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, proofreading, typing, maintenance of office supplies, booking transport for selected events, booking diary events and ordering in-house catering if required.

The working hours are 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, approximately 5 hours per day, but there is some flexibility with days and opportunities for remote working. In addition to these core hours, there will be 6 Saturday mornings per annum (1 per half term). This position is term time plus 4 weeks in the School holidays to provide support before the start and at the end of each term, plus additional days during the holidays as required, agreed in advance with the EA to the Headmistress.

Meals are provided to staff whilst on duty. The School’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool, are available for staff to use.

Benenden School is an independent boarding school for girls, founded in 1923 and situated in 250 acres of beautiful parkland in rural Kent. At present, there are 550 girls in the School. A considerable amount of new building has been completed in recent years, including a Science Centre, an all-weather pitch, Sports Pavilion and staff housing.
