Bishopswood Schoolis a small special school for pupils aged 2 – 16 years who have severe and/or profound multiple learning difficulties, ASD and those with complex needs. This friendly and supportive school has an inclusive ethos.  Please note that Bishopswood is a split site school (primary and secondary departments at Sonning Common); the school is close to Reading. 

Administrative Assistant required from April 2022

As part of the office team, the Administrative Assistant post is an interesting, busy and varied role which involves a wide range of tasks and activities to assist in the efficient running of the school office and the school in general. The post requires good office and ICT skills, excellent personal, communication and teamwork skills, a flexible approach and an interest in supporting the headteacher and classroom staff to meet the needs of the children and their parents. 

The Administrative Assistant post is for 37 hours per week, 5 days a week, term time only.

Salary: Grade 7, spinal point 13 to 17, £11.93 -  £12.92 hourly rate; £23,023 - £24,920 pro rata.

The school will consider job share and part time working for this role.

Bishopswood is a special school in South Oxfordshire (Berkshire border) that provides specialist education for children aged 2—16 years with severe (SLD) or profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs, including those children with ASD. Holding an inclusive ethos, Bishopswood endeavours to provide specialist provision alongside its co-located mainstream partners across two sites.
