Applications are invited from highly skilled and professional administrative assistants.  The Administrative Assistant – Wellbeing and Compliance is a member of the College Office Administration team whose key role is to provide effective and efficient administration services across the College.  This is a fixed term, parental leave replacement position (9 months) commencing on Thursday 16 January 2020.

Kilbreda College is a Roman Catholic independent school for girls in Years 7 – 12, located in the south-eastern suburb of Mentone, Melbourne. The school has a population of 974 students supported by 83 teaching staff.

The history of the college began in 1904, when the Brigidine sisters opened a school in Mentone, comprising 25 primary students in St Patrick’s school and three secondary students in St Brigid’s. In the 1930s, the two schools combined under the one name, Kilbreda.

Facilities

Facilities at the college include the Mary Dalton Hall, a state of the art auditorium, dance and drama rooms, a library with study rooms and a computer lab, four science labs, three other computer labs and food technology classrooms. Outdoor facilities at the school include four tennis courts, sporting track and sports oval.

Curriculum

Kilbreda College follows the Australian Curriculum while focusing on Catholic traditions and values. The school aims to provide diverse learning experiences, with students participating in research, problem-solving and critical thinking. From Year 7, students are exposed to a broad range of subjects in order to allow them in the later years to select the appropriate elective subjects that appeal to their interests and talents. Subjects offered at the school include accounting, literature, psychology, physics, specialist mathematics, visual communication, legal studies, global studies, history, dance and drama.
