We are seeking to appoint an Administrative Officer, to support the School Business Manager and the Headteacher, in all aspects of administrative services and limited financial services at the school.
Salary: APTC 3, £9476- £10916
Location: Hylands Primary School
Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: Part Time: 3 days per week 08:30- 4.00pm Mon, Weds, Fri.
DBS Check: Enhanced
Start Date: Required June 2017
Hours: 21 hours per week (8.30am-4pm - half hour lunch) 40 weeks per year
The successful candidate will be flexible and able to use their initiative, as well as having excellent interpersonal skills. They will be able to demonstrate strong organisational and IT skills (to include Word and Excel packages) ensuring that the operational functions of the schools are managed. They will also possess the ability to work well within a team, contributing to the on-going development of the administrative infrastructure competently and efficiently.
The main areas of responsibility will include:
- Administrative and secretarial support to the school
- Financial support (limited) to the SBM (experience of SIMS/ FMS would be an advantage)
- Safeguarding
- Communications to the Hylands school community
- The promotion of the public interface of the schools
They will need to be organised yet adaptable, approachable but with a clear sense of direction and able to work effectively under pressure. A first aid qualification or willingness to undertake training for this would be essential.
