Primary Objective:
Responsible for the provision of executive and administrative support, secretarial and event management for the Department of Education Registered Training Organisation and administrative support to the staff within the Registered Training Organisation.

OUR SCHOOLS

Teachers in the NT teach some 33 000 children in 153 government schools spread across 1.35 million square kilometres. Schools are grouped into six regions:

  • Darwin: 28 schools
  • Top End: 35 schools
  • Big Rivers: 28 schools
  • East Arnhem: 13 schools
  • Barkly: 13 schools
  • Central: 36 schools


Of the 153 government schools, 73% are located in remote and very remote areas, with 46% of the NT’s total student population attending those remote schools.

Some 44% of all our students in the NT speak a language other than English at home.
