Job Description Post: Administrator (Data) Designation:
Support Staff Contract Hours & Weeks: 37 hours per week, all year.
Salary: Sixth Form Support Staff Scale 18 – 21 (£16,804 to £17,946)
Responsible to: CIS Manager Job Purpose: To provide administrative support to staff and college management to support the achievement of identified priorities and targets for the assigned function/team.
Key Responsibilities and Duties Maintain and monitor the administration procedures and processes in given areas.
Responsible for the accurate collection, processing and communication of data and information. Operate and interrogate systems to present information for analysis – data and reports.
Perform general administration tasks. Dealing with students/staff/external agencies as appropriate.
Providing cover, as appropriate, for other administrators and Reception.
Any other reasonable duties required by management. General Duties

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Communication skills: - Good oral skills: Sufficient to obtain, exchange and issue information with external business partners (e.g. Examination Boards), students, parents and also staff at all levels via telephone and face-to-face. Includes communicating to groups (e.g. to students during exams) as well as individuals.
Good written skills: Able to clearly and concisely write formally.
Aptitude for paying attention to detail
Ability to validate information and results
Evidence of good IT skills, particularly in the creation of accurate data and reports
Work-based experience of Microsoft Windows, MS Office (particularly Outlook, Excel and Word), Internet Browsers (Internet Explorer and/or Chrome), networked applications and internet.
Knowledge of examination procedures and requirements
Experience of team working and ability to work independently
Experience of ensuring data quality
Experience of Management Information Systems
Administration experience of examinations
Administration experience gained in the educational sector
Quick to learn and retain information
Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Good presentational skills
