Are you organised and meticulous? A great communicator? Do you want to share your ideas to create a fun, exciting and engaging school for Autistic children and young adults? Falkland House Perth is looking for a proactive thinker who can help keep the environment organised, engage with the Schools stakeholders and perform any administration duty required for the running of the School

The main purpose of this role is to provide a professional, effective and responsive administration service to the school community. 

Previous experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is not essential but it is preferred. If you have no experience, please research Autism and the challenges it presents. Previous administration experience within a school or college environment is preferred but if you can demonstrate transferrable skills, we would love to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
  • Work in accordance with professional practice, statutory and legal requirements and the policies of Falkland House School.
  • Take on specific tasks related to the day to day administration and organisation of the school.
  • Take whole school responsibility for specific areas of work which will be reviewed annually then agreed within the performance management cycle and school improvement process.
  • Demonstrate active commitment to and participation in the performance management and appraisal process, during which individual employee developmental needs will be highlighted.
  • Be committed to Continuing Professional Development and keep up to date with national and local issues and guidance, undertaking training as appropriate.
  • Reflect on their personal contribution to school achievements and take account of feedback.
  • Support the Operational Team as an ambassador for the school in the wider stakeholder network. 
  • Be required to meet their statutory responsibilities with regard to health and safety, equality and diversity in the workplace and other relevant employment legislation. 
  • Take on any additional responsibilities which might from time to time be determined

Falkland House School is an in independent residential school for boys from primary to aged 18 years.  Our pupils have a range of Additional Support Needs including emotional and behavioural difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorder.  We were the first independent school in Scotland (outside of the NAS) to receive accreditation from the National Autistic Society.

We provide residential and day places to boys from early primary to aged 18, with residential placements of both 39 weeks and 52 weeks offered.
