Job overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an efficient, enthusiastic person to join our small Network Resources department.  The successful candidate will work closely with the Network Resources Manager, providing administrative support to facilitate the professional and efficient operation of the department.  The role is varied to include a range of administrative tasks with a focus on customer service.  The ideal candidate will have excellent telephone, organisational and written communication skills.

The Network Resources department is responsible for ensuring that IT systems function efficiently throughout the school and that teaching colleagues are appropriately equipped to design and deliver high quality digital teaching. The role offers the possibility of progression to a more technical role. Full training will be provided.

The preferred working pattern for this role is 37 hours per week, term time plus INSET days. However, this may be negotiable for the right candidate and working hours can be discussed at interview.  Previous experience of working in a school environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

We can offer the successful candidate:

  • Bespoke CPD
  • Competitive salary with London fringe allowance
  • An admission policy prioritising the children of staff
  • Use of a new on-site fitness suite
  • Lovely school grounds in leafy surrounds with ample parking.

Application forms, available from the school website, should be returned with a covering letter to the Headmaster, Mr Michael Jones.

Parmiter’s School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all members of all staff to share this commitment. Applicants must declare any criminal convictions as the post is exempt  under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointments will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via the Disclosure and Barring Service and references from previous employers. We are an Equal Opportunities employer.

The Good Schools Guide

Parmiter's School relocated to the current 60 acre rural Hertfordshire site from London's East End in 1977.  The site is currently undergoing a period of development and has recently opened a new £4m state of the art Science facility. The school enjoys a good reputation for traditional values and academic achievement whilst maintaining a true family feel among staff and students.

Experienced teachers, Early Careers Teachers and support staff benefit from a supportive leadership team who focus on personal development and wellbeing as a priority. Staff benefit from complimentary use of a new Fitness Suite facility.

Parmiter's leads the Watford Partnership for Teacher Training in collaboration with 11 local schools, the University of Hertfordshire and Herts for Learning.

The school is consistently over subscribed for Year 7 and Sixth Form entry.  Children of staff are a priority for admission.

Please visit our website for more information and feel free to contact the school with any questions.
