 Scale 7 (Possible Scale 8 for highly skilled candidate)

35 hours per week (part-time hours may be considered)

Term time (plus 10 days - 5 training and 5 additional days in holidays by arrangement)


Annual Salary £32,420 - £33,319 per annum (based on Scale 7, 35-hour week)

Castlebar is an ‘Outstanding’ Special School for primary aged children with complex moderate to severe learning difficulties. We are very proud of our children and our school and offer a warm and welcoming place to work, where you would be part of a supportive team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Administrator to work at our school. In this role, you will complement the professional work of our school team by taking responsibility for administration relating to pupil management, data tasks (including data management and assessment) and business support services.

This post would particularly suit someone who enjoys a varied and interesting role, where you will become an integral part of the school.

We require someone with excellent administrative, data management and IT skills, who can communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including the leadership team and Governors.

Supporting the Business Manager, you will provide effective business admin support, as well as supporting the wider school administration team.

We are open to explore full or part time working, (working flexibly between the hours of 8.00 am and 5.00 pm, with one hour for lunch, Monday to Friday). The role is offered as term time, plus an additional number of days during the summer holiday. Additional hours may be required outside of the usual working day on occasion to fulfil the duties of the post.
