The Governors of Loreto High School Chorlton seek to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and passionate Reception and Administration Assistant, who is keen to continuously improve the experience of our students, to join our school.
Overall purpose of the post
To provide general administration support to the school. To provide a welcoming, efficient, safe, and secure environment as first point of contact for students, visitors, and staff.
Desired skills and experience
• Strong IT skills including previous experience of Microsoft packages, SIMS database,
SIMS Parent App and WordPress
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Highly motivated individual with an innovative approach
• Experience of dealing with some issues that are more complex, requiring well
developed communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate engaging oral and written communication

Key Duties
• Provide confidential administrative support including the preparation of
correspondence to parents/carers, including letters, digital forms, text and email
communications using SIMS Parental Engagement.
• Checking of written and digital work product
• Schedule room bookings as requested
• Attend meetings, take and transcribe notes
• Assist with creating marketing and promotion material for the school
• Respond to enquiries from visitors, staff, and students alike in a friendly and
professional manner
• Welcome visitors arriving on reception and issue security badges as necessary
• Liaise with other staff, pupils, parents/carers and external agencies
• Answer and respond to telephone enquiries promptly, ensuring messages are
forwarded on to relevant parties
