As part of our growth strategy; we’re really pleased to be opening a brand new Secondary ASC/SEMH school in Autumn 2023 in Torton, Kidderminster for students aged between 11-19.
The building is currently being redeveloped, and work is being done to design the look and feel of the school to ensure it fulfils its potential of being an amazing learning environment with facilities to allow students to access a varied curriculum in a calm and nurturing environment with a team that strives to give every student the confidence and opportunities to achieve.
The role:
We are looking for a friendly and organised Administrator to join our team. As part of the administration team, you will be required to support with HR administration, payroll, business and general admin duties. The work you do impacts on all areas of the organisation, therefore you will be required to work collaboratively, professionally and effectively with all areas of the organisation as appropriate.
Please note; this role is for the full year. During school holiday periods some lone working may be required.
Key Duties:
- Liaising with the Central Recruitment Team to ensure the prompt action of all recruitment and staff onboarding activities.
- Overseeing and supporting the administration of new staff following the onboarding process and throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Support managers to manage sickness absence issues effectively in line with the related policies.
- Be responsible for co-ordinating the attendance of students with the Behaviour/safeguarding/Family Liaison Lead.
- Support Team Leaders with the calculations for Holiday Breaks and annual leave entitlements, and ensure the relevant spreadsheets are up to date.
- Co-ordination of data and reports and completion of all actions for the monthly payroll submissions to the Central Payroll team. Ensuring the correct checks and authorisations have been made and data is submitted on time.
- Liaising with Central Functions as appropriate to answer on site queries relating to PAYE, SSP, SMP and Pensions.
Duties will vary, you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever is required.

Skills and Qualifications
Successful candidate qualities:
- Good level of literacy and numeracy.
- Demonstrable experience of working in administrative role ideally to include HR and payroll and/or within an educational or care environment.
- Computer literacy essential, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- Accurate typing and Minute taking.
- Organised and good time management.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and multi-task.
- High level of interpersonal ability with excellent written and verbal communication.
