Job overview

Admissions Administrator and Marketing Assistant

Permanent, Full time working 37 hours per week (Monday –Friday)

£18,309 per annum

25 days’ annual leave

Brooksby Melton College is a specialist vocational Further and Higher Education provider in Leicestershire, spread across two main campuses – one in the heart of the lively market town of Melton Mowbray and the other on an 850-acre estate at Brooksby.

The College received a “Good” Ofsted judgement in 2016 and our objective is to be judged an “Outstanding” College within the next five years. As part of this journey, both our campuses have undergone a £27m redevelopment, bringing new facilities and improved environments for all our students and staff.

The college has seen significant investment in practical and teaching facilities within our departments benefitting from brand new state of the art facilities.  We are proud of the fact that our student achievement is the highest in the East Midlands for 16-18 year olds studying level 3 provision.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic recruit to join the Marketing and Admissions team based at our Melton Campus. We are looking for an experienced administrator who will have:

Excellent IT Skills - using the Microsoft Office Suite and student database system to support the admissions process and aid in the smooth running of the office team, your data entry skills will be second to none. Accuracy is key! – so you’ll be expected to demonstrate a “right first time” approach to your work.

Exceptional organisation skills – You will have an excellent eye for detail, with the ability to work under pressure. Project management and event skills are desirable as you’ll be expected to help with the organisation and management of our flagship events, such as HE Graduation.

Outstanding communication skills - You will be representing the college to the general public on the telephone and face to face at events, so you must be able to communicate clearly and feel confident about advising students on our courses and support services.  You’ll also be working with employees at all levels across the College so an excellent telephone manner as well as the ability to be articulate and professional in written documents is really important.

Forward thinking attitude – we are an innovative team driven by new ideas, so you will have knowledge of social media, mobile technology and communication channels which our students use.

Flexible approach – you will occasionally be required to attend and support recruitment events outside of your normal working hours, either on evenings or weekends.
