The Admissions Assistant will report to the Head of International Admissions Centre at Abbey DLD Colleges HQ.
Job Purpose
A key member of the admissions team, the post holder will be the first point of contact for all admissions queries and responsible for providing excellent customer service and a high standard of administrative support to the International Admissions Centre (IAC). The ability to multi-task with a keen eye for detail are essential for this role.
Key responsibilities
- Answer phone calls and respond to any admissions queries.
- Collect and maintain all data on enquiries and applications pertaining to recruitment
- Data entry – check and upload student documents to the colleges’ data management systems (SIMS) efficiently and accurately.
- Support admissions team with maintaining student electronic files
- Archive customer data in the Admissions inbox
- Perform administrative duties as required by the IAC team members
Skills and attributes
- Excellent computer skills with fluency in standard programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Attention to detail and accurate data management
- Strong cross-cultural awareness and strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to work flexible hours as workloads increase and decrease during the year
Experience required
- Experience in general office, clerical, or admissions environment
- Experience working high volume of data
- Experience in a customer service role
