Internal Responsibilities

• happy to take on individual responsibility for their role, but also be successful in working as part of a small, close-knit team

• confident working collaboratively with other staff members such as our Heads of School, Deputy Head and Faculty Heads 

• have a strong relationship with junior and senior SENCOs to ensure the smooth running of our admissions procedures for SEN children

• Have a strong relationship with all teaching staff to ensure a fluid and collaborative link between admissions and teaching staff

• Have a good knowledge of all the children in the school

• Assist in the organisation and execution of Open Days and Assessment Days within the school

External Responsibilities

• Take an active part in enrolment, Play a large part in organising and representing ALS at external events and to take part in recruitment events during the less busy admissions periods during the year

• Develop relationships with local schools and nurseries, organise recruitment events such as coffee mornings and dance festivals in collaboration with the teaching staff and marketing team.

• Ensure Arnold Lodge has a strong presence at local events showcasing schools 

• Liaise with other independent nurseries and schools to establish strong links to support recruitment into Arnold Lodge for Reception, Year 3, Year 7 and Year 12

Admissions

• Ensure the admissions team are the first point of contact for parents enquiring about places at Arnold Lodge and they follow up all enquiries 

• Organise parent tours & meetings with the Headteacher and the follow up process 

• Organise taster days for pupils 

• Assist with the management of entrance assessments 

• Accurately input new pupil data onto Engage ensuring set lists and class lists are accurate throughout the school year 

Administration

• Provide weekly data to the Business Manager regarding tours, taster days and enrolments

• Keep the admissions spreadsheet up to date and accurate

Uniform

• Maintain the running of the uniform shop: advise the Business Manager when stocks need replenishing, conduct all uniform fittings and provide Finance team with information for invoicing

• Maintain the stock levels on the uniform spreadsheet

• Ensure the uniform shop is kept tidy 

• Unload all stock and enter onto the uniform spreadsheet as soon as it arrives

Tours

• Ensure that the Meeting room provides a welcoming reception for all prospective parents to the school

• Ensure required sign in procedures are adhered to by all visitors to the school 

• Ensure the Head Master, Heads of School, Reception and all other relevant staff members are aware of tours well in advance

• Ensure a parking space is reserved for all tours

• Ensure all relevant marketing and enrolment material is to hand and up to date in the meeting room 

Taster days

• Ensure you are there to meet the parent and walk the child to the relevant class room

• Liaise with the Heads of School to arrange taster days and ensure the prospective child will have the most positive experience.

• Ensure ALL the relevant teachers are aware of taster day children attending, any SEN difficulties they have and 

• Ensure the board in the staff room is updated daily with details of tours and taster days

Additional Duties

• General administrative functions as and when required

• To perform any responsibilities associated with being a member of the school's staff, as reasonably directed by the Headteacher or Operations Manager

Arnold Lodge is a 4-18 Co-Educational Independent Day School in the heart of Leamington Spa. The school first opened in 1864 and quickly established itself as an exceptional preparatory school. Originally a boys’ school, Arnold Lodge became co-educational in the 1970s and continued to provide an extraordinary education for the girls and boys who attended the school.
