Role: To be a key driver for improving student outcomes through developing an outstanding curriculum with consistently outstanding teaching and learning in the specialist subject, both in the home school and across the trust.  

Are you a superb classroom practitioner, with two or more years of outstanding results with year 11 students?  Do you want to develop your leadership potential whilst staying committed to teaching in the classroom?  Do you want to make a difference to the lives of young people in Leeds? 

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, creative and dynamic practitioner to play a key role in developing English across the trust, ensuring outstanding approaches to curriculum, teaching and learning and assessment. The successful candidate will spend 4 days of each week in the home academy, and one day of each week working as part of the WRAT Teaching and Learning Group.  This highly influential group comprises of senior staff from each of the academies and is a driving force in the trust’s ambition for all the academies to be outstanding within the next three years. Once in role, candidates will have the opportunity to work towards the unique WRAT Advanced Skills Teaching Standards Award, developed in association with the Gorse Academies Trust.   This is an exciting CPD opportunity, on the completion of which, candidates will move up to 6-10 on the leadership pay scale.
