Main Purpose of Post:

To have responsibility within the Schools Service (schools and funded early years settings) for the delivery and implementation of Powys and ERW strategic development to support vulnerable learners.

To be responsible for the strategic leadership and accountability of the Behaviour Support services/provision with Powys LA.

To provide strategic leadership and performance management for the Local Authority Pupil Referral Units.

To develop networks and partnership with relevant Local Authority Services, Headteachers, Governors and multi-agency colleagues to promote inclusion, improvement of attendance, and reduce exclusions.

To develop and implement behaviour support services across the county.

To manage the team of Education Welfare officers and support the improvement of attendance in schools.

To be responsible for the management and monitoring of Elective Home Education, Child Performance Licences, Child Employment Licences and Chaperone Licences.

To lead on monitoring and responding to Bullying within the school service, including the monitoring of racist indents and Homophobic bullying

To chair Local Authority panels including the attendance panel and others as directed by your line manager
