We are seeking to recruit an Alternative Provision Manager at John Ferneley College, working term time plus INSET days plus 2 weeks over the school holidays to support with transition (41 weeks per year).
A priority for us is the wraparound bespoke support for our most vulnerable students, therefore, you will have recent and relevant work experience of working with multiagency and partnerships, including external agencies and providers. You will also have experience of working on issues relating to vulnerable students at Key Stage 3 and 4 at risk of exclusion. Knowledge and experience of working to promote inclusion within schools for students and providing advice to Headteachers, Governing Bodies, and parents, is essential.
You will have Qualified Teacher Status and detailed knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, Health and Safety, GDPR, and SEND processes.
Along with excellent communication skills, you will be able to motivate others and be able to develop effective partnerships. You will have excellent negotiation and problemsolving skills and will be able to manage your own workload and respond to tight deadlines.
The Mowbray Education Trust
The Mowbray Education Trust (MET) is a multi-academy trust currently educating around 2,500 children from the age of 2 to 16 in the town of Melton Mowbray and surrounding villages in the Borough of Melton. The MET currently has one secondary school, five primary schools and one pre-school, with potential numerical and geographical growth in the future.
Melton Mowbray is a rural market town in Leicestershire which is easily commutable from Grantham, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Oakham.
