37 hours per week, term time only, plus five Inset Days
We have an exciting new post to work in our new provision that aims to address and overcome a range of barriers to learning and engagement. This unit will cater for a very small number of students who are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream school. This is an exciting opportunity to design and lead an innovative approach to engaging young people who, so far, have failed to engage with the education system. The successful candidate will be required to support students throughout their participation on the project, enabling them to overcome a range of barriers to learning and giving students the time to reflect on their behaviours. Students who are required to attend this provision will do so for a fixed period of time before returning to mainstream lessons. The post holder will have excellent behaviour management skills and be passionate about encouraging disengaged and disaffected students to participate fully to enable them to reach their full potential.
