This is a fantastic opportunity to join ‘the most improved school in Derbyshire’.  We are an over-subscribed, aspirational, rapidly improving academy which, following last year’s examination results was in the top 25% of schools, nationally, for attainment and had the top achieving Sixth Form in Derbyshire.  The Pingle Academy, part of The de Ferrers Trust, lies at the heart of the National Forest area and provides for students in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

We are looking to appoint a teacher to lead the teaching in our new unit for students with mental health or other needs and are not currently able to attend mainstream.  This is a new facility for our academy and offers an excellent opportunity to the successful candidate.

To be considered for this role you will need to: 

1. be an excellent practitioner who can  organise an effective group/individual teaching/learning programme

2. be able to co-ordinate the running of all aspects of the day to day operation of the Alternative Provision programme 

3. have the desire to be part of a dynamic team, committed to moving the academy forward.

4. supervise and guide the work of any support staff who are assigned to work in this provision.
