Job overview

The Altus Education Partnership was formed in 2017 by the governing body of Rochdale Sixth Form College, an Ofsted outstanding college, currently with around 1900 students. The College opened in 2010 and since then it has raised achievement in the area dramatically and become nationally recognised; the college is Ofsted outstanding, and regularly being one of the highest performing colleges in the country according to DFE’s performance tables and national achievement rate tables. In 2021 it was named TES Sixth Form College of the Year.

We are looking for an outstanding, enthusiastic, and passionate Alumni Engagement Officer. We need an energetic person who will be responsible for communicating with an audience of former students from all of Altus’ academies so that we retain meaningful engagement with a high proportion of our alumni through their careers and lives.

You will be responsible for supporting, developing, and delivering events and communications to alumni to maintain contact with the academies they attended. 

Examples include, but are not limited to: 

  • The creation of newsletters, emails, and website/social media material.
  • The organisation of alumni events such as student reunions.
  • Arranging for former students to visit their old academies to speak about their lives and careers and with a view to inspiring current students.
  • Fund-raising activities.
