The Governing Body, Trust and Headteacher seek to appoint a highly motivated person to join our school in the role of Annexe Coordinator. You will be responsible for supporting good behaviour through staffing the school’s Annexe for students on internal sanction in addition to coordinating the runnings of the behaviour system in the school and working 1-1 with challenging students in order to support them in rectifying their poor behaviour.

You will need to have good communication skills, the ability to problem solve and identify barriers to learning. For students who find it difficult to cope with the requirements of the classroom, you will need to be assertive and consistent in your approach.  We are seeking an individual who has worked with and can relate well to a wide range of young people from different ability, ethnic and social backgrounds or worked with teachers and other professionals.

The working pattern is 33.75 hours per week, 8.20am – 3.45pm Monday to Friday with the exception of Week 2 Wednesday which finishes an hour later (for a team meeting) and Week 2 Friday which finishes an hour earlier (for wellbeing). The role is term time only, plus Teacher Development days.

Kingsdown School is part of a Multi Academy Trust and joined the River Learning Trust in 2017. The successful applicant will join the School as a River Learning Trust employee.
