Apprentice Pre Registration Pharmacy Technician

Starting salary of £20,186 per annum

Full time only, 42 hours per week

3 year fixed term contract

Alongside our registered pharmacy technician, you will be based in a busy health centre, in the school and college, and be involved with processing large amounts of medicine and feed supplies for our 170 students, as part of our medicines team. You will work closely with our contracted GP service and off-site dedicated pharmacy to ensure that each student has access to the correct medicines and that care staff are provided with clear directions for administration. You will ensure that medicines are correctly transcribed onto our electronic system, that orders and returns are efficiently organised and that each student’s medicines are stored correctly, and audited monthly.

Following a successful probation, the post holder will be funded and supported to complete the approved Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Training apprenticeship to allow registration as a pharmacy technician with the GPhC at the end of the 2-year course.

This opportunity has the potential to lead to a permanent role as Medicines Management Technician (MMT) within the Treloar medicines team.

The successful candidate must hold GCSE’s (or equivalent) at or above grade C/4 which includes Maths, English and Science.
