If you are motivated to support students, have an interest in science, can demonstrate Manners, Determination and Teamwork and want make a real difference this could be the first step on your career journey within science and education for you.

More information about the Science Technician Apprenticeship Programme will be available to the successful candidate who will have the choice of courses/providers.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a wiliness to learn

• Have a keen interest in science

• Be a positive role model who can build a good rapport with students and staff

• Work as part of a busy science team

• Have the ability to organise and manage own workload and support the senior technicians 

• Deliver good level of accuracy, effective timekeeping and a proactive approach to problem solving

• Understand the importance of community.

A warm welcome to The Holgate Academy careers site. We are a large secondary academy for students aged 11-16 years based in Hucknall and, together with our partner academies, offer post 16 study at the Hucknall Sixth Form Centre.
