Job overview
We are looking to recruit an experienced Team Manager to manage the apprenticeship delivery at one of our major clients, Rolls Royce, as well as the wider Engineering apprenticeship provision across the College. Supporting and managing an apprenticeship delivery team you will ensure an exceptional apprenticeship experience meets the world class standards of our employers.
As Team Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations and management of an apprenticeship team of Assessors and Instructors. You will be expected to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction to employers through exemplar collaborative working both internally and externally. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in the performance and operation of the apprenticeship delivery programme, reporting on agreed KPIs.
An understanding of the FE sector and experience of managing an apprenticeship provision are essential along with proven experience of working with and providing excellent communication to key stakeholders.
Experience within the engineering sector would be advantageous.

Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.
Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
