Location:  Cutteslowe Primary School within in The River Learning Trust, OX2 7SX

Pay grade: NJC 6 Point 8 - £10.81 per hour

Working Hours: 20 hours per week Monday to Friday. Core hours 3pm to 6pm. Permanent all year contract (52 weeks) 

Cutteslowe Primary School are recruiting passionate individuals who manage our Breakfast, After School and Holiday clubs.  Experience within childcare to work within their holiday club childcare provision. 

Ideally we are looking for individuals with experience of working with children between the ages of 4-11 years old and understand the value of play and exploration for young children.


Duties

Taking part in the delivery of safe, creative, appropriate play opportunities in a fun and caring environment.

Organise activities for the children, and external trips during the holiday.

Ordering and planning of snacks for the week. 

Ensuring that the clubs are covered by sufficient childcare assistants by organising rota's. 

Helping ensure safe arrival of children at the club and the safe delivery to carers at end of day.

Keeping children safe and minimising risks in the play environment.

Providing snacks/refreshments to the children.

Administering first aid as appropriate.

Being responsible for looking after toys and equipment, and tidying rooms each day.

Working within company policies and procedures, with particular reference to understanding safeguarding responsibilities for the children in our care.

Managing a small team of enthusiastic childcare assistants

Person Specification

Experience or working with 4 – 11 year old children in a play environment

Ability to communicate at all levels, particularly with children

Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

An appropriate qualification in Childcare/Playwork at Level 2 or the equivalent is desirable but not essential

Willingness to undertake appropriate training is essential
