Job overview
Durham School is seeking an outstanding and talented Arabic teacher to teach both Arabic for first language and second language pupils. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an exceptional, experienced, flexible and adaptable teacher to play a leading role in the further development of an outstanding Arabic department at Durham Dubai as the school enters its second year of operation.
Following the very successful founding year, Durham School Dubai will expand next September adding classes to all year groups and extending provision to include Year 9. Continued growth is confidently expected with the Senior School eventually extending to provide IGCSE and A Level awards.
We believe it is the people that make Durham School special. Our staff must be excellent colleagues and team players, understanding and supportive of one another, skilled practitioners, each with a passion for education and a ‘can do’ mindset. Our teachers must love their subject and have a burning desire to enthuse the students they teach.
At Durham School Dubai we pride ourselves on our commitment to, and quality of, our teaching of Arabic. The school follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and the National Curriculum of England in Junior and Senior Departments. Our Arabic curriculum follows a bespoke curriculum for Arabic B and follows the Ministry syllabus for Arabic A in accordance with UAE regulations.
