Barnet’s Pre-school Inclusion Team

Part time (2½ days to include all day on Wednesdays)

We are looking for a part time Area SENCO to work in the Pre-school Inclusion Team. Area SENCOs provide support, advice and training to early years setting SENCOs within pre-schools, children’s centres and child-minding settings to help them to carry out the SENCO role and duties, and to promote inclusive learning environments. The Pre-school Inclusion Team are home-based mobile workers so you will need to be able to work from your own home.

You will possess a teaching qualification and have extensive knowledge of early childhood development, the Early Years Foundation Stage and experience of working with children 0-5 years. It is essential to have extensive experience of working with young children with SEND and their families. You will need to have experience of delivering training to others, as this role has an extensive training delivery brief. You will also need excellent inter-personal and communication skills, have the ability to work on your own initiative but also to be an effective team player. This is a dynamic and exciting post within a well respected and high profile team.
