Are you an inspirational teacher of SEND? Do you have the passion, drive and expertise to teach in a small group setting to ensure aspirational outcomes for all learners with SEND?
With the exciting expansion of our school and development of provision to include an ARP, which opened in January 2023, we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and excellent teacher with a passion for SEND to join us in the role of ARP teacher. The ARP has 3 classes of 9 children who all have social communication needs (including Autism) with mild to moderate learning difficulties. Pupils in the ARP are able to access specialist teaching support to address their individual needs as well as have opportunities to study and interact socially with their peers in the mainstream. The aim of our curriculum offer is to ensure that each pupil can make good progress towards or achieve the objectives set out in his/her EHC plan, ensure readiness for their next phase of education through the National Curriculum and build on the independence and life skills to support their journey to adulthood.
Fielding is a fantastic place to work. Imagine working in a school where everybody chooses to bring energy, passion and a positive attitude to the job every day.
Does that sound like you?
You might be just the person we are looking for!
You will be responsible for successfully planning, teaching and assessing the work of a group 9 children who will have social communication needs (including Autism). Children will spend time in the ARP and mainstream depending on their need and progress, a differentiated National Curriculum will be delivered as well as ensuring their EHCP targets are delivered, all in line with our Fielding values based ethos.
The role includes working within a team of 2 other teachers and 6 Teaching assistants to ensure best practice and best possible outcomes and equal opportunities for all pupils in your class and working in partnership with parents and carers and external specialists.
This role would suit a candidate with mainstream teaching experience and a passion and heart for children with special educational needs. The candidate would have experience of teaching children with social communication needs and strategies used.
Facilities and resources are excellent. The children are fantastic. Find out more from our website or arrange a visit to come and see us.
