Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher to establish, develop and lead on our Autistic Resource Provision (ARP) which will open in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on a new aspect of the school’s inclusive provision and to influence the work of all staff.

Applications are welcomed from teachers who have extensive experience of working with children with autism in a primary setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with the senior leadership team and the governing body to ensure that the provision is fully inclusive and provides an excellent standard of education. The successful applicant will demonstrate a real understanding of integrating all pupils into mainstream lessons and will have a proven track record of positive outcomes for pupils with SEND. They will lead and manage a team of staff within the ARP and will have a key role in training and supporting other staff to ensure that the ARP is a fully integrated aspect of the school.

The successful candidate will be required to develop links within the school and with other ASD provisions, setting up the ARP and developing an appropriate curriculum to meet the needs of the pupils.

The successful candidate will be joining the school at an exciting time. Harrington Hill is a one-form entry primary school located in Hackney which is due to expand in September 2025. Its most recent Ofsted judged that our Early Years, personal development and the children’s behaviour are outstanding.
