Ark All Saints Academy opened in September 2013 with an intake of 120 year 7 pupils, and will grow year on year to become an 11 – 18 school by 2019. Our staff team is deeply committed to the new academy’s transformation and future, and looking to create a vision for success, a culture of academic achievement and a nurturing environment in which students can thrive. A Church of England school whose only admission criteria is on distance, we welcome students of all faiths and none and we expect all members of staff to support and uphold the moral ethos of our academy.

We are looking for a creative Art & DT Technician with a commitment to academic excellence and helping every child succeed. We are looking for a passionate Art & DT technician for assisting in the day-to-day support of the learning environment of the academy, monitoring standards and practices within the department and providing technical and learning assistance in the classroom. In particular, the Art & DT Technician will ensure that high standards of Health and Safety are maintained at all times. The academy is a new building, housing well-appointed Art and Textiles classrooms, a Technology workshop and dedicated teaching kitchen. All of which have adapted equipment to accommodate wheelchair access.

Our ideal candidate will: 

  • be qualified to degree level or proficient to A-Level standard in Art or Design Technology
  •  have experience of working in a school 
  • be able to set up example projects · have Health and Safety training or experience and be aware of safety issues 
  • be able to help implement the necessary routines and patterns to establish good behaviour management within the school
