Salary: Actual starting salary based on hours worked £7,368.96 to £7,804.13.  Full time equivalent salary £16,781- £17,772 (NJC Scale 3)

Contract type: Permanent. Part time 20 hours a week. Term time -37 weeks.

Polam Hall is a 4-19, co-educational day and boarding school which converted to Free School status in September 2015. The school joined Woodard Academies Trust in April 2017 and is expecting its first Ofsted inspection in 2017-18.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Art and Food Technology Technician who working under the direction of the Head of Art and the teacher responsible for Food Technology will provide support for the teaching of these subjects.

The responsibilities include preparation and maintenance of materials, ingredients and equipment for Art and Food Technology and assisting with the preparation of resources, images and displays. The role also involves maintaining stock and carrying out stock control and under the direction of the teacher, to assist appropriately with practical work

To be suitable for this role you will have;

 • 5 GCSEs at A* - C or equivalent

• Experience of work in a school environment, supporting learning and able to work with KS3, 4 & 5 pupils.

• Evidence of ability to work with art and design materials and equipment

• Practical experience in cookery and food preparation.

This is a very exciting time at Polam Hall. The school has grown to its current 700 pupils over the last two years and will continue to expand until it reaches a roll of around 880.
