Art Fellow

Shrewsbury School seeks to appoint a recent graduate to contribute to the School’s Art faculty, initially for a period of one year, with the possibility of extension into the next academic year, subject to performance.

This is an exciting and important position to support the delivery of Art at Shrewsbury and assist our partnership and community engagement projects. The Fellow will play an important role in the classroom, providing technical support across a range of media. They will also provide technical and organisational support to the department.

This is a full-time role and we would expect the Art Fellow to contribute fully to the wider co-curricular and pastoral life of the school. The Art Fellow will also have use of studio space to work on their own practice.

The Art Faculty is extremely well equipped and enjoys a tradition of excellence in all areas: drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, textiles, video & digital media, sculpture & installation.

The post will be suitable for a recent graduate or for someone wishing to gain initial experience in a teaching and learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a good honours degree in Art, or a closely related subject, with the subject knowledge to be able to inspire students of all abilities and challenge able students.
