This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing the outstanding Art, Photography, Design and Technology provision at our award winning school, Manchester Enterprise Academy.
We are seeking an experienced Technician to support our Art, Photography, Design and Technology teachers and students at key stages 3 and 4. You will be passionate about these subject areas and education and committed to securing excellent outcomes for our students. The departments also offer a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities and a desire to be involved with this is extremely important.
The primary role will be to prepare Art, Photography and DT practical lessons and resources and provide technical support to enhance the delivery of the curriculum. The successful candidate will support the classroom teacher in lessons by assisting students with practical work and supporting project work for various Key Stages and examinations. You will also be required to undertake a Health & Safety role for and maintenance of machinery for the department. The successful applicant will be required to carry out general clerical duties such as filing, processing of orders and stock maintenance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as is a willingness to undertake training as required for the role.
